Healing Art Challenge: Loneliness

The most terrible poverty is loneliness,
and the feeling of being unloved.
~ Mother Teresa of Calcutta

Making art is an emotionally safe way of accessing feelings that we may want to deny.  More than that, it is a way to process the feeling, to dance with it, and release it.  This week's healing art challenge theme is loneliness, an experience that we all have had... regardless of the number of people we are around.

This week reflect on your experiences with loneliness and share it with us in your chosen art form:  music, poetry, photography, dance, visual arts.  Send your submissions to friendsinhealing@gmail.com by 12 pm CST time on Thursday, February 10.  If you have a blog or website, please include the address in your email.  The gallery will be published on this site later that day.  For an example of our most recent art gallery here.

Blessings on your artistic journey this week!
