Inspiration Picnic

Colors speak all languages.
~ Joseph Addison

Come to my inspiration picnic!  Creativity isn't meant to be leashed, but shared!  Art brings people together!  Here are a few things I saw this week that made my heart pitter patter and my fingers tingle...  If you have something that you found this week, or something of your own work that inspired you, please add the link at the end!

What's on...?  If you've never been over to Sarah's Art House, you need to!  She is such a sweet creative spirit and always has colorful ideas!  Being a former preschool teacher, I loved this post because it reminded me of children's books.  I'm definitely gonna play around with this idea

Mad Tea Party  I've decided this is what I want for my 40th birthday next year!  It'll take me a year to collect all the doodads...  I'm excited to be a new follower of Vanessa's blog.  It's so magical!

Nicole Hoschke is a wonderful expressionist painter that I ran across this week on YouTube.  She has a whole series of videos.. this is the first that I ran across.  I love the freedom with which she works.. letting the painting literally emerge.

What inspiration can you share this week?

  8. Great idea, Cori! I linked to the website of an Australian artist who has a new exhibit of art quilts. They were inspired by a trip to the US last fall. Beautiful work!

  11. ohhhh that's because I worked on that post yesterday but.. meant to save to draft but published it instead. Brought it back to draft mode but the blogger feeds still see it in there... waiting for the sun to come up to take a pic of what I made. Well, actually, waiting for the sun to come up to hunt for my camera charger in my car so I can charge the battery for the cam and then take the pic and then post! :) Look for it this afternoon if all goes as planned, or earlier if I can squeeze an extra pic out of the juice left on the camera. Oh and I'll be shipping your piece today :)
