Here for You

"I am here for you."

"I know you are there and I am very happy."

These two paintings are inspired by this Talk for Children given recently by zen master  Thich Nhat Hanh recently at Plum Village.  I just love his explanation for children and adults of mantras and how to speak them in our minds and our bodies.  The talk is shown in it's entirety at the link listed above and I highly recommend that you watch it.  It runs about half an hour long.  It's worth the time!

The words that inspired these paintings are declarations of love, transformed into mantras to connect us to each other, to relate in authenticity, and to give of ourselves honestly.

The words "I am here for you" to me is a way of touching, of holding, of protecting without the need for touch.  How lovely!  How comforting!  What a blessing these words bring to the person who receives them.  I announce my presence in your life.

Here I acknowledge your presence and it's affect on me.  You are precious.  Your spirit bursts into my life, and I burst with joy in return.

A special welcome today to all those from the Playdate at Beneath the Rowan Tree!

These paintings are 6" x 6" and are available for purchase through Paypal, sold as a set, for $45.  Please email your interest to cori-lynn@msn.com.

How can anyone not be inspired by Thich Nhat Hanh?

  2. These are beautiful, Cori. I admire how you can take a "simple" symbol like a heart and create such inspiring art with it.

I'm trying to learn that lesson.
